But they were quite small, so maybe? I guess I need to see a sanderling and a sandpiper next to each other to really get an idea of the difference. Thanks for your comment and suggestion! I definitely need input from people who know these birds better than I do. :D

(Also, for future reference, each individual post has its own comment section -- you can click on the post's title and find the comments for that post at the bottom of that smaller page, if that's easiest. It'll just help keep things organized if the comments end up with the appropriate posts. Thanks again!)Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03819156307414077158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3902702129791011785.post-50337370869667276042011-07-29T05:07:19.864-07:002011-07-29T05:07:19.864-07:00Definately a laughing gull in non-breeding plumage...Definately a laughing gull in non-breeding plumage. I feel really lucky any time one of my bird pictures actually comes out well, and I love looking up close to find interesting bugs.

Mel: I don't think you want this heat, but I'd gladly give away some of it if I could! As I write this comment, it's 9:00 AM and already 89 degrees Fahrenheit outside; they're predicting a high of 98 degrees today, with a heat index of 110.... All I can say is, thank goodness for air conditioning!Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03819156307414077158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3902702129791011785.post-43489907243630324582011-07-21T23:14:24.024-07:002011-07-21T23:14:24.024-07:00Honestly, I am beginning to feel I have actually b...Honestly, I am beginning to feel I have actually been to Naugatuck State Forest!!
